Science Playwriting Competition Deadline: December 1

Talented playwrights with an interest in the sciences, and talented scientists with an interest in the theatre are invited to compose a 10-minute play with a substantial science component. Special consideration will be given to plays about physics and mathematics. This contest is open to all Stony Brook University students, faculty and staff.

First prize $500
Second prize $150
Third prize $50

Bringing science and theatre together can provide the inspiration for a play of exceptional artistic merit and lead to exciting new ways of learning about science. The best science plays can be great works of art because of the science they contain and great educational tools because of their artistic value.
