Stony Brook President Hosts Town Hall Meetings: Hear Updates and Discuss Progress On Diversity Plan

WHAT:

Stony Brook University's President Samuel L. Stanley Jr. is hosting three town hall meetings on the University’s Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Initiative. They are being held for all community members to hear an update and discuss progress on implementation of the University’s Diversity Plan.

“I hope you will join me at these discussions and share your views as we work together to make our campus equally welcoming for all,” President Stanley said.

WHEN/WHERE:

The meetings are scheduled as follows:

  • Wed., Nov. 30 at 1 p.m.; Charles B. Wang Center (West Campus)

  • Fri., Dec. 2 at 3 p.m.; Duke Lecture Hall (Southampton)

  • Wed., Dec. 14 at 1 p.m.; Hospital Lobby Conference Room (East Campus)

WHY:

Stony Brook University’s Diversity Plan is intended to build on successes and address opportunities to take the University to the next level in its efforts to enhance student, faculty and staff diversity and to build an inclusive community.
