Stony Brook History Professor Named a National Humanities Center Fellow

STONY BROOK, N.Y., June 1, 2015 – April Masten, an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Stony Brook University, has been selected as a Fellow at the National Humanities Center. Professor Masten joins 36 other distinguished international scholars who were selected as the 2015-16 Fellows. Professor Masten, whose scholarship explores the interplay between cultural production and political economies, is the author of numerous scholarly works. As a National Humanities Center Fellow in the coming academic year, she will complete the research and writing of her book project and share ideas in seminars and lectures at the Center. The 2015-16 Fellows were selected from 537 applicants and come from 32 institutions across the United States and eight foreign countries.
